There’s nothing like playing outside

Boundless room for play, wonder and growth

As soon as they set foot in AKI Family Resort PLOSE, children know exactly where their favourite place in the entire resort will be – outside! A glance through the windows is all it takes for them to spot the resort’s expansive playground out in the greenery. So… let them leave their backpacks in the room, lace up their trainers and set off on a discovery tour of what’s there… outside. The park is vast, safe and features facilities made entirely of natural materials. At AKI, environmental sustainability can be a playful business – but it’s also a very serious one.

Little adventurers seeking for thrills get their wish: the zipline is a great favourite among junior guests. After descending, they laugh their way back up again in short order, eager to have another go. And then another.

On the quieter side, the wooden playhouses welcome those ready to let the imagination run and create ever new stories. While some children relish the gentle motion of the rocking chair, others take their imaginary trips on the wooden tractor or try their hand – or rather, feet – on the moving platforms, honing their balance and coordination skills. Then there are swings, slides, a climbing tower... and an area where children can build castles – both in the air and in the sand.

When the delighted screams and loud laughter quieten down for a moment, you can hear the sound of water coming from nearby. Small water features are scattered all around, with logs to cross and hidden corners to explore – every detail designed to stimulate action and creativity. A little further on lies one of the resort’s most sparkling gems: the pond. Surrounded by greenery and painted by reflections of the sky, it is a small world in its own right, where little pirates can climb onto a wooden raft and rope their way across the water, taking turns steering the course and watching the ducks as they go. All around the pond, there are wooden seats, smooth stones and play equipment, so everyone can tailor their experience relaxing, splashing in the water or soaking up the tranquil landscape as they please.

Not far from the pond, an open-air workshop offers the opportunity to paint and create works of art inspired by nature. It’s a bit like the resort’s indoor painting atelier, only under a blue sky and immersed in the scents and sounds of nature.

A few steps away, another real highlight: the resort’s farm and the magical chicken coop, where children can observe animals, get in tune with the rhythm of nature and make friends with curious goats, busy hens, gentle rabbits and soft alpacas. An authentic dip into the farming world, where valuable lessons are learnt through play and observation. Everyone experiences the farm in their own unique way: some stop to watch in silence, others ask a thousand questions… and some take great care in collecting small eggs. For all, this is a wonderful opportunity to learn how to look after animals, respect their rhythms and needs, and experience authentic contact with nature.

Between an adventure in the pond and a chat with a rabbit, here comes Aki, the resort’s mascot – soft, friendly, full of zest and always happy to be on our little guests’ side as they romp around and explore, sharing their cheer and love of play. Aki adds a special touch to every moment!

Playing outdoors at AKI offers children the perfect blend of energising experiences and soothing breaks, with plenty of opportunities to touch nature, discover the pleasure of getting dirty and invent their own stories and adventures – which they may even re-enact with mum and dad later, when they return to their room.
